Think you're better than the next guy at pool? Want to prove your skills, have a lot of fun, and win some cash in the process? Romines High Pockets is the place to be for our very own "In-House" pool tournaments. We host tournaments year round for both eight-ball and nine-ball. Enjoy our comfortable atmosphere, while competing to win. Take first place and bring home the big bucks. Based on 32 players, Cash will be paid out. Signup is on a first-come first-serve basis. Read the schedule below, then stop in and sign up.




Nine-Ball Tournament Rules
1. One Foul ball in hand at all times even on break. If at any time a player is attempting a masse and/or jump shot, in the execution of that shot moves/touches the object ball(s) that they are attempting to go around/over, whether it be with the cue, cue ball, clothing or person, it is a cue ball foul.
2. Three fouls in a row by one player is loss of game. A warning must be given between second and third shots.
3. Lag for break its winner breaks.
4. No balls are spotted on a foul except the nine ball.
5. Any ball off the table is a foul.
6. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated (Examples - Unscrewing your stick when its not your shot unless you inform your opponent you're changing shafts, Disruptive or abusive behavior such as throwing chalk, cue rack, etc. is loss of game and/or expulsion from the tournament or room.)
7. If a ball hangs for five seconds or more and then falls, it id spotted up. Exception: when a ball is knocked in by a player's body, clothing, or equipment it is opponent's option to re-spot.
8. The attempt to catch a ball before it enters a pocket is a foul whether the ball is touched or not. The opponent has the option to move it between the spot it started and when it was stopped. Note: A loss of game for unsportsmanlike conduct may affect the outcome of the shot is a foul; ball in hand.
9. The director reserves the right to impose a reduction or addition of a number that is obviously inaccurate.
10. Push-out after the break is allowed. Player must announce push-out. Only first shot after the break may be pushed.
11. When the distance between the cue ball and the object ball is less than the width of a chalk cube, but not froze, and if the cue ball follows through the object ball more than one-half the ball and the referee can not positively determine a legal shot has been performed, it is considered a foul. However, if they are froze and referee can determine it was not a double hit or push shot, shot is good.
12. The use of a jump cue or shaft jump shot is a foul. However, cue extensions are legal.
13. Any rules not mentioned please refer to the BCA rule book. Management does reserve the right to change or adjust rules at any time.
